The Nunavut Roundtable for Poverty Reduction is made up of representatives from governments, Inuit organizations, business, labour and the non-profit sector, with a territorial mandate. Other organizations, including regional and local organizations and individuals who are interested in fighting poverty in Nunavut, can also participate as members.

The Roundtable is jointly supported by the Government of Nunavut and Nunavut Tunngavik, Inc., according to the terms of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two organizations.

Collaboration for poverty reduction is also enshrined within legislation in Nunavut. On May 16, 2013 the Collaboration for Poverty Reduction Act came into force. The Act commits the Government of Nunavut to working together with Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. and other partners on the Nunavut Roundtable for Poverty Reduction.
